Signs you need steering or suspension service
Rough roads, potholes and age wear these parts down gradually, so the changes can be easy to miss. Watch for:
- Pulling to one side. Worn parts, alignment problems or uneven tire pressure can make the car drift.
- Clunking over bumps. Worn ball joints, sway bar links, bushings or strut mounts often clunk.
- Loose or wandering steering. If you're constantly correcting the wheel, tie rods or other steering parts may be worn.
- Bouncing or nose-diving. Worn shocks or struts let the car keep bouncing after a bump and dip hard when you brake.
- Uneven tire wear. Wear on one edge of a tire often points to a worn part or an alignment problem.
- Whining or humming. A whine when turning can be the power steering. A hum that rises with speed is often a wheel bearing.
Some of these parts hold your wheels in place. If something feels loose, get it checked soon.
Upgrades too
We work on performance suspension as well as stock repairs. If you're installing coilovers or lowering springs, we can do the install. If the new ride height makes your tires rub, fender rolling can add clearance.
What to expect
Tell us what you're feeling and when: over bumps, when turning, or at certain speeds. We inspect the suspension and steering on the lift and road test the car. You'll have an estimate within 48 hours.
Our inspection and repair rate is $120 per hour for general vehicles and $150 per hour for custom cars. Minor repairs are usually done in 24 to 48 hours, and most work is finished within a week.
We welcome customer-supplied parts. Our warranty covers new parts for 60 days or 3,000 miles, and labor for 60 days or 3,000 miles. If suspension damage came from an accident or road hazard claim, we can help with the insurance paperwork.
